Wiese Europe

Wiese Europe is an internationally renowned engineering & manufacturing company with a broad experience in servicing and supplying loading and safety applications to both the chemical as well as petrochemical industries. The company started out in 1988 as a family business with the repair, maintenance and sales of loading arms manufactured by the German company Wiese GmbH, in its own workshop of just 300m².

Truck Loading Arms

Top Loading Arm – distinguished by an extra large working area for top loading of tank truck and train.

This model is designed and constructed to allow a perfect balance of the loading arm in any position.

By designing the correct pipe lengths it is possible to charge multi-chamber trucks without even moving the vehicle.

  • Sizes: 1”/2”/3”/4”/6”/8” (DN25/50/80/100/150/200)
  • Material (depending on the fluid): carbon steel, stainless steel, low temperature steel, special alloy
  • Temperature range: -105˚C to +250˚C
  • Pressure range: 40 bar
  • Balancing system: counterweights, spring cylinder, air pressure cylinder, hydraulic cylinder
  • Seals: virgin PTFE (eventually adding carbon, fibers or graphite (15%); FPM; Hypalon (on request); EPDM (on request), Kalrez

Bottom Loading Arm – applied for transferring dangerous fluids or gases.

For safe loading, a smoothly operating loading arm is used. When the loading arm is not in operation, it is turned backwards and locked in a safe stowed position.

Loading Platforms

Layout of the platform

Each of the platform corners is designed to carry a support column so each platform can be fitted with up to 4 loading arms.

The platform sides are built to carry the folding stairs and an access ladder. Bottom loaders can be fitted to the main support column for ground level operation.

Platform construction

A rigid, robust platform is essential for correct loading arm operation. 

This is achieved with a heavy-wall main support column including base and head plates, and a welded steel profile platform construction.

All platforms are constructed according EN 1090-2, exection class 2.

Dimensions

The dimensions of the loading station are based on years of practical experience.

Standard dimensions of a platform are a workfloor of 1600 x 1600 mm on a support column of 3400 – 4000 mm high (depending on application)

Adjustments to comply with local or specific demands can be made on request.

Folding Stairs

Our folding stairs have a solid weight design and are built according the highest safety regulations. They have following special features:

  • Covering large height variation;
  • Galvanized or chemical resistant antislip steps;
  • Hinged second step to prevent accidental jamming of foot;
  • Knee railing;
  • Minimal wear due to bearing and plastic; bedding on all movable parts;
  • Automatic locking in stowed positon;
  • No hands or feet can be jammed in any position;
  • Easy manual operation due to spring balancing.

Safety Cages

FIXED SAFETY CAGES – to combine with folding stairs protecting operators during their actions.

Features:

  • Attached to folding stairs;
  • Aluminium or hot dip galvanized carbon Steel;
  • Hand- , knee- and foot railing;
  • Balancing by spring cylinders attached to the folding stairs;
  • Available for 3-4-5-6 steps folding stairs.

Options:

  • Pneumatic operation;
  • Limit switch in normal or ex-proof design;
  • Side openings for loading arms with long dip tube.

Satety Cage Mounted to Existing Platform

INDEPENDENT SAFETY CAGES – generally designed to cover large operating areas of the trucks & trains. Independent safety cages are custom built considering the site conditions and customer preferences and therefore ensure a high level of safety for each specific situation.

  • Horizontal or vertical installation
  • Mounted at existing platform or with own support structure
  • Pneumatic or hydraulic operation
  • Aluminium or galvanized carbon steel (depending on dimensions)

  • Movable door inside the safety cage to adapt to different trucks sizes
  • Manual (optional magnetic) fall doors at the sided for oval trucks to prevent from slipping between the safety cage and the truck

Floating Suctions

SPECIFICATIONS:

Roof Drains

Wiese Floating Roof Drain Systems offer a variant to flexible hoses and mechanical swivel joints. In fact we give the best for both; we have combined and integrated metal pipes to work with flexible hoses that act as “swivels”.

Up until Wiese GmbH was discontinued, a prosperous cooperation existed between both companies. Based on a mutual decision, Wiese Belgium started manufacturing loading arms for their home market in Belgium with the support of the former owner of Wiese GmbH. Wiese GmbH was succeeded by a new company, however being the sole inheritor of the Wiese name, the ways of Wiese Belgium and the subsequent company soon split.

Wiese Belgium evolved from a local player in the Benelux countries to a European reference serving the international market. This resulted in a name change to Wiese Europe, meant to display its ambition to remain a preferred partner.

Until today, Wiese Europe can still fall back on the extensive experience and knowledge it has acquired from the former Wiese GmbH and Connex GmbH, allowing us to service also those arms as if they were our own. The Wiese Europe production plant in Belgium has been constructed according to the needs of our customers demanding high technology loading arms and safety systems.

Still today all engineering, manufacturing and assembly is possible in our own workshop providing close monitoring of manufacturing, quality control and testing. With recent expansion, the plant covers 4000m² of engineering, production and office space under one roof.

Nowadays the goal of Wiese Europe is to be close to every end-user by means of sales and service partners worldwide carrying out its values and principles of high quality and rapid response.
